Cassie didn’t wake up at first. She kept thrashing around but when she felt Ethan squeeze her hand she jolted awake and broke down in sobs throwing her arms around him. She was shaken up from her nightmare. “E-Ethan” she sobbed into his shoulder. “I-I was so scared” she whimpered.
Lucas watched them ‘um” he said looking around “I’ll go..yeah” he smiled softly “I hope you feel better Cass..you’re in good hands now..” he said softly, he felt upset for some reason, he couldn’t help at all, what if Summer needed him like this? Like the way Cassie needed Ethan, would he be able to do anything? Would he be useless?
Ethan sighed in relief as Cassie woke up. “Sh..” He said, rubbing her back and kissing her on the head. “You’re fine.” He looked over at Lucas as he spoke. “Thanks again, man…” He said, giving him a nod as he left. He looked back down at Cassie and pulled away slightly to look her in the eye. “Are you okay?” He asked, trying to help calm her down. “Nothing is going to hurt you.. I won’t allow it.” He said.

Cassie thrashed back and worth. “NO!!!!” she screamed she was having a nightmare. “STOP GET AWAY FROM ME!!!” she yelled in her sleep. “Ethan” she said over and over again. She continued to thrash back and forth trying to make it stop.
Lucas looked over at her as she started screaming in a panic “That’s what she was doing before, except she was awake” he said to Ethan, he stepped back a bit to let him through, knowing that he would be able to be the one to help her. He felt helpless.
Ethan’s eyes widened as he heard Cassie start to scream and yell and saying his name multiple times. He tried shaking her awake. “Cassie.” He said, shaking her lightly. “I’m here, Cass.” He said a bit louder than the last time as he was trying to wake her up. He took her hand and gave it a squeeze.

Lucas watched as Ethan quickly ran over, he walked beside him and stood next to him looking. “She was upset, so I offered to comfort her, when I got here she broke down and..basically, accused me of being her dad..” he swallowed “She thought I was going to hurt her..I wouldn’t..I was trying to calm her down but she kept screaming and shouting for me to stop it, and then she kept shouting your name, she cut herself and then I bandaged it properly, finally she passed out and I called you” he nodded “I’m glad you’re here, I had no idea what to do..I was scared man” he breathed running a hand through his hair.
Ethan looked down at Cassie as Lucas spoke. When he reminded him about how she had hurt herself he looked around, trying to find the injury. When he saw it he sighed and looked away from it. If he was here, maybe this wouldn’t have happened. He looked up at Lucas. “I’m so sorry that you had to deal with this… She’s just had it rough when she was younger.” He said sighing. “But thank you for helping.”He said giving him a small smile before looking back down at Cassie and gently playing with a piece of her hair.

Lucas watched Cassie sleep, she was sweating a bit so he placed a cold cloth on her head softly, trying not to wake her. He was so worried so he got Ethans number from her phone, making sure not to look at anything private but she had been calling out his name so much, even when she was sleeping that he thought it would be best to do. Lucas could tell Ethan seemed worried and he was glad he was coming over. Cassie had thought Lucas was going to hurt her and that scared him, he would never do that to her, he just wanted to help and he wished he could but he knew that he wouldn’t be the one to do that. If the roles were reversed only Summer could help him and he understood that.
He got up slowly and cleaned up the blood rags and put them in the garbage, making sure the bandage on her ankle was secure as well, he added another one to it, he could see the blood seeping through and it made him even more worried, he was so stupid to bring her that glass, but honestly he didn’t think she would break it. He finally heard the knock at the door and he quickly went over opening it “Ethan’ he let out a breath “thank god, come in’ he said holding the door open for him to walk in “She’s still passed out”
When Ethan had gotten the text that Cassie was in trouble he was instantly worried. From what he had found out the other night, he didn’t know what else could have happened. He quickly went over to where Lucas and Cassie were and knocked on the door and waited impatiently. He looked up when the door opened and saw that it was Lucas looking worried. Ethan walked in and looked around, hearing what Lucas said. He instantly spotted her and quickly made a beeline in her direction, kneeling down in front of her and grabbing her hand.
Ethan looked up at Lucas. “What exactly happened?” He asked, wanting to know everything that happened. He looked back down at Cassie, seeing how peaceful she looked while she was asleep. He wiped a strand of hair away and sighed.
